Wisconsin lawmakers release statements on failed deficit agreement

WASHINGTON (AP) — The bipartisan leadership of a special congressional deficit supercommittee has officially announced that the panel has failed to reach an agreement.

Democratic Sen. Patty Murray and Republican Rep. Jeb Hensarling say that despite “intense deliberations” the members of the panel have been unable “to bridge the committee’s significant differences.”

MILWAUKEE — U.S. Rep. Gwen Moore, D-Milwaukee, is working to gain support for the jobs bill and stopped at Milwaukee Area Technical College Monday morning.

MILWAUKEE- The proposed closing of five post offices in the city of Milwaukee has some elected officials concerned. Congresswoman Gwen Moore pointed out in a press conference Monday that all are concentrated in African-American neighborhoods.
