Congresswoman Gwen Moore, Mayor Tom Barrett and Milwaukee Democrats announce Election Night Celebration

MILWAUKEE—A joint election night party in Milwaukee will be hosted by Congresswoman Gwen Moore, Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett, the Democratic Parties of Milwaukee County & Wisconsin and the campaigns of President Barack Obama and Tammy Baldwin for Senate. The free event will be at the Hyatt Regency, 333 W. Kilbourn Ave, in downtown Milwaukee. Doors will open to the Regency Ballroom for attendees at 8:15 p.m.

Media is invited to begin setting up at 5:30 p.m. and can begin broadcasting live from the site at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, November 6. An advance meeting will be held for interested media at 3 p.m. on Friday, November 2. This meeting is not required for media, but is provided by the hosts and the venue as a courtesy for planning purposes.

Press risers will be provided for cameras, and a small work area for print, online and radio reporters will also be provided. Power, multboxes and WiFi will be available. If an outlet intends to broadcast live, RSVP is required by 10 a.m. Monday, November 5, to ensure adequate parking is available for satellite trucks.

Note: Congresswoman Moore, running in the newly-constituted 4th Congressional District, will utilize this event as her election night victory party. Also in attendance will be Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett, Milwaukee Dems chairman Sachin Chheda, and additional local elected officials and Democratic Party officials.

DPW Chairman Mike Tate and Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin will be at her main party in Madison, Wisconsin.
