U.S. Rep. Gwen Moore (D-Wis.) said Wednesday that she will be running for a sixth term in Congress, the announcement coming on the same day that a Republican, Janet Hinz, entered the race for the 4th Congressional District seat.
"Congresswoman Moore is definitely running for re-election," said Minh Ta, Moore's chief of staff.
Ta said Moore welcomed Hinz into the race and "looks forward to a spirited debate about the key issues facing families of the 4th Congressional District."
In five previous races for Congress, Moore has easily defeated her Republican opponents.
