Thank you for visiting my virtual campaign headquarters and web-site. What an exciting year 2009 has been thus far! We're in the thick of campaign season, and as I continue to travel the district and the state—making new friends and reconnecting with old ones-- I'm confronted with the issues that our great state deals with on a daily basis.
Nearly 50 million Americans are still without health insurance, we must redouble our efforts to provide affordable health care to those in need. Quality education and the necessary funding to produce our next generation of leaders is my commitment to every student. And we must not forget our solemn promise to every hardworking American- that he/she will be able to retire with the benefits they so rightfully deserve.
Our work has just begun and we have much to accomplish in the 1st session of the 111th Congress. The hungry are still aching with their empty stomachs, the sick often unavailable to receive the most basic of medical treatments, and the poor and economically challenged living paycheck to paycheck with little relief in site.
When I first ran for Congress, my campaign was considered a tremendous longshot, but with the support of individuals such as yourself, we made a difference and brought about a revolution in Wisconsin. As we progress further into the 2010 campaign, with your continued support, our horizons are limitless and we know no boundaries
We have a long road ahead of us, and your continued financial support is needed. However, we have much work left to be done and it is vital that I have the resources needed to carry my message across the district and to be a voice for progress values in Washington. You can help make the difference TODAY by contributing to my campaign. You can give $10, $25, $50, $100, $250, $500, $1,000 or any amount that you can afford at this time, and it will be greatly appreciated. Your support now is urgently needed!
I want to offer a special thank you to all of those, during all my campaigns, who gave their time and their resources, but more importantly, their trust and love. I cherish this responsibility and will work very hard to maintain that trust in Congress. On behalf of my entire family and all of my friends, THANK YOU!
All the Best
